What is Patriot Mail?
Patriot Mail is a simple, safe, and privacy-first email client designed for everyday people — including seniors and anyone tired of complicated or unsafe inboxes. We connect to your existing email account using standard IMAP and SMTP (like Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and many others) and present your inbox in a cleaner, more accessible way. Your emails stay with your provider — we never store them on our servers.
Which email providers do you support?
Patriot Mail works with most providers that support IMAP and SMTP. This includes Google, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Exchange, Yahoo Mail, AOL, iCloud, Fastmail, Zoho, Proton Mail (bridge), Bluehost Mail, Namecheap Mail, Mail.com, Comcast Xfinity, Yandex, GoDaddy, and many others. If your provider supports IMAP/SMTP, Patriot Mail will work with it.
Is Patriot Mail free?
Yes. Patriot Mail is free to use. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We may earn a small affiliate commission from recommended products in the Store, always at no extra cost to you.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell, trade, or share your data for advertising or any other commercial purpose. We do not store your emails or contacts on our servers. All email data stays on your device or with your email provider.
If you choose to use optional AI features, only the specific text you select may be sent to an AI service (such as OpenAI) to generate a summary or reply. This happens only when you request it, and we clearly inform you before any AI feature is enabled.
Do you use my data for advertisements?
No. We do not use your inbox or personal information for advertising of any kind.
How does Patriot Mail keep my data secure?
Your emails stay with your provider (Yahoo, Gmail, Outlook, etc.). Patriot Mail only retrieves messages to display them to you and does not keep copies on our servers.
All communication is encrypted using modern HTTPS/TLS. Where available, we use secure OAuth 2.0 login — meaning we never see or store your password. For providers without OAuth, we support app-specific passwords.
On your device, emails may be stored in a small local cache to speed up loading. You can turn this off at any time.
What AI features does Patriot Mail offer?
You can email our assistant at ai@patriotmail.ai for help such as writing, summarizing, or explaining emails. More built-in AI tools are coming soon. All AI features are optional and require your explicit permission.
How do I install Patriot Mail?
You can use Patriot Mail directly in your web browser — no installation required. Native apps for iOS and macOS are currently in development.
Is there an iOS or Android version?
iOS and macOS versions are in development. We do not currently have plans for an Android version.
Is Patriot Mail GDPR and CCPA compliant?
Yes. We comply with GDPR, including consent for optional features, and we honor the principles of CCPA. We currently operate below CCPA’s formal thresholds, but we maintain a “no selling, no sharing, no profiling” policy across all users.
